It’s been a while since I posted here, but here goes. I have been training in the last few weeks for the London Marathon, not knowing whether I will be among the 40,000+ runners lining up at the start line(s) in Greenwhich Park. That was because of the visa situation, which I was able to sort out at the second time of asking. With that minor hiccup behind me, I finally get to properly do fundraising work.
This time I am aiming to raise 1,800 pounds for Anti-Slavery International, who are doing a stellar job at raising awareness about modern day slavery in its various form (human trafficking, forced labor, child slavery and much more).
I have already raised 300 of the amount, but still got 1,500 quid to go with 11 days to go before the race, hopefully I will get to raise the amount ahead of the race! I am posting regular updates and information about their initiatives via the #OmoAntiSlavery hashtag on social media.
